Brau Union

Welcome to the team!

Welcome to the Brau Union team!

We’re delighted to have you on board. Together, you’ll bring the world of brewing to life for our guests. As our guide, you’re far more than just a source of information—you’re a brand ambassador, storyteller, and experience creator all in one.

The concept of our tours

Our tours focus on the brewery’s function and technological processes. The goal is clear: to create a high-quality educational experience that your guests will understand and appreciate.

The tasting at the end rounds off the experience—not as an add-on, but as a deliberate conclusion in a respectful, controlled setting.

What sets you apart?

You don’t just inform—you inspire. With your knowledge, personality, and enthusiasm, you create genuine connections with visitors and build long-term loyalty to our brand.

That’s your strength. That’s where the magic of a great tour lies.

When do the tours take place?

Our tours run year-round—from March through the end of November. All dates are scheduled by the end of April at the latest for the entire year.

To help you plan: We expect approximately 70–80% of scheduled dates to actually take place. You’ll always receive confirmation whether your tour is happening 7 days in advance.

Tours in Puntigam

  • Thursday: 4:30 PM
  • Friday: 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM

Tours in Wieselburg

  • Thursday: 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM

You’ll be informed in good time which dates are in your calendar and when they’re confirmed.

The Heart of It: The Facility Tour

Our tours are facility tours—not beer tastings with a factory in front. This is important, and this is your role as a guide.

What It’s Really About

You show your guests how beer is made. The technological processes, the function of the brewery, the craftsmanship behind the product—that’s the core. Your guests should understand what they’ll be drinking later. They should see and comprehend the value creation.

This is the education we promise.

The Tasting Has Its Place

At the end, there’s a beer tasting – that’s valuable and enjoyable. And yes: that’s often what your guests will remember most. That’s completely fine.

But the tasting is the finishing touch, not the center. It’s the flavor confirmation of what your guests have just learned.

Your Balance as a Guide

Make the tour exciting. Tell the stories. Explain with passion. Your guests should leave thinking: „Wow, that’s how it works. And the beer—that’s really well made.“

That’s the difference between a good tour and an unforgettable one.
