Frequently asked questions

Do we need to climb a lot of steps up Castle Hill?

The path up Castle Hill involves steps and a gentle climb through sloping lanes, manageable at a normal walking pace. If you would rather avoid the climb, the Schlossbergbahn funicular runs from a station near the route.

Can we also see the inside of the cathedral?

Yes, a short visit inside is usually part of the tour. If a service is taking place, we admire it from the outside instead.

Can the tour be combined with a walk along the Danube promenade?

Yes, the promenade sits right at the end of the route and makes a pleasant, quiet way to round off the tour.
