The climb up to the Imperial Castle involves paved paths and a number of steps, which is manageable for visitors with average fitness. Parts of the castle have limited access for wheelchair users, so please let us know when booking and we will adjust the route.

What age group is this tour suited to?

The tour is designed for adults and teenagers and also works well for older children used to longer walks. For families with younger children, we recommend our dedicated family tour instead.

Can we combine this with a visit to the Craftsmen's Courtyard?

Yes, the Craftsmen's Courtyard sits right by the King's Gate and fits well onto this route. Just let us know in advance so we can build it into the plan.
