What is a river ferry, and is the crossing included in the price?
The river ferry is a small, cable-guided ferry used to cross the Danube at several points in the Wachau. The ticket for the crossing is not included in the guiding fee.
Is this tour pleasant in very hot weather?
Large parts of the route run through villages and partly shaded wine cellar lanes, so the tour is easy to do even in summer. You should still bring water.
How big can the group be for this tour?
The route works well for solo travellers and couples as well as smaller groups. For larger groups, we’ll coordinate in advance how best to manage the river ferry and the narrow lanes.
