Around 1900 Vienna was both stage for Empress Sisi and home to a young generation of artists around Gustav Klimt, who broke away with the Secession. This tour connects both sides of the city: the late empire and the arrival of modernism.

No, the Hofburg and Secession are separate venues with their own tickets and time slots. We are happy to plan these together with you in advance.
Will we also see Klimt’s painting ‘The Kiss’ in the original?
The painting hangs in the Belvedere, which we reach from the outside on this route. A visit inside the museum can be added as a separate programme point if desired.
How many people can take part in the tour?
