Frequently asked questions

We're coming on a day trip from Vienna, is there enough time for this tour?

Yes, this is the classic combination. The hydrofoil or train gets you to Bratislava in about an hour, and after the tour you'll still have time for coffee, lunch or exploring on your own before heading back.

Is the walk up to the castle strenuous?

The path up to the castle goes uphill through lanes and some steps, but is manageable at a normal walking pace. We adjust the pace to the group and are happy to build in breaks.

Do we get to go inside St Martin's Cathedral?

A short visit inside is usually part of the tour, as long as no service or event is taking place. Otherwise we view it from outside, and your guide explains its role as the coronation church.
