This tour is all about flavour: the wine and apricots that put the Wachau on the map. You taste Grüner Veltliner and Riesling where they are made, and learn what Steinfeder, Federspiel and Smaragd actually mean.
For wine and food lovers, and anyone who wants to get to know the Wachau through taste and farming.
Melk Abbey, Dürnstein berth or Krems
The guiding fee covers the tour itself, tastings are paid directly at the wineries you visit. We agree beforehand how many tasting stops you would like.
No problem, just let us know in advance. We adjust the route and the tasting amounts, and can plan non-alcoholic alternatives on request.
Apricot blossom usually falls in April, a little earlier or later depending on the weather. At harvest time in high summer, fresh apricots and apricot products take centre stage instead.
