Frequently asked questions

What dress code applies when visiting the synagogue?

Shoulders and knees should be covered, and men are generally expected to wear a head covering, usually available at the entrance. We recommend dressing modestly regardless.

What should we bring for the visit to the baths?

Swimwear, a towel and possibly bathing shoes are useful, and lockers are standard at the thermal baths. Entry to the baths is not included in the guiding fee.

How does the tour handle the subject of the ghetto and the memorial?

We address the history of the Jewish Quarter and the memorial on the Danube factually and with the respect the subject calls for. The tour is intended as an educational experience, not a sightseeing highlight.
