Frequently asked questions

How much elevation do we gain?

Depending on the chosen route, expect roughly 300 to 400 metres of ascent. We agree the exact route with your fitness level in mind beforehand.

Do we need hiking boots?

Sturdy, closed shoes are recommended, since the forest paths are natural surface and can be damp depending on the weather. Hiking poles are not necessary.

How do we get back to the city centre?

From Grinzing, Nussdorf or the Kahlenberg itself there are good public transport connections back into town, which we point out at the end of the hike.
